Why Doctrine Brewing? What is the doctrine? What does it all mean? These are questions I often receive, and the answers are not simple.

When running a brewery, numerous factors drive decisions. It's tempting to focus on maximizing sales by making beers as accessible as possible. Cost reduction becomes a consideration when purchasing ingredients. There's also the constant desire to increase production for greater sales. Simply put, profit often takes priority over purpose.

However, amidst these challenges, it's crucial to remember our core principles. We stand for beer that is truly original, distinct from the ubiquitous offerings of other breweries. Quality ingredients are non-negotiable; while something cheaper may be acceptable, it will never match the same level of excellence. By trying to please everyone, we risk exciting no one.
